At CustomCare Rx we provide compounding services to deliver prescriptions not available commercially. Our PCCA trained pharmacists, technicians and in-office compounding center, enable us to provide non-sterile, physician ordered, compounded prescriptions.

COMPOUNDING
The pharmacy industry actually began with all prescriptions being custom made, or compounded, in accordance with physician’s orders. As time and medicine progressed, mass produced, commercialized formulas have become the standard and are what most pharmacies exclusively provide today. However, not all patients respond as well to these standardized medications or their applications and that’s where CustomCare Rx comes in.

Application Modifications -
When taking a medication in its standard form isn’t working, we can often modify the prescription to be absorbed by the body differently. For example, if taking an oral dosage for pain management is upsetting a patient’s stomach, CustomCare Rx can create a topical solution. Also, when giving a child or animal certain medications, it can be extremely difficult. For this, we can compound the prescription into a flavored lollipop or treat that is easier to deliver.

Combination Medications -
For some patients that require multiple prescriptions, we can create combination medications in which the prescriptions are combined into a single convenient dosage.
